Sony registers new domain names that hint at new dance title for PS3

New evidence today suggests that Sony may well be hoping to put its SingStar Dance embarrassment behind it and work on a new dance game that will hopefully mirror the success of Xbox 360’s Dance Central. And with Sony’s access to an extensive back-catalog of great music, and the PlayStation Move peripheral to take advantage of, there’s absolutely no reason why it can’t.
The evidence of a new dance game stems from three newly registered domain names: ‘MyDanceGame.com,’ ‘EverybodyDanceGame.com,’ and ‘MyEverybodyDanceGame.com;’ all of which were registered on May 20 by Sony. The websites currently have no content on them and are registered for one year only, possibly while Sony decides on a firm title for the game.
With Xbox 360 owners reportedly having a great time shaking their booties to the commercially and critically successfully Kinect-enabled Dance Central from Harmonix it’s no surprise that Sony is keen to replicate its success. And with Sony’s own SingStar Dance unable to capture the imagination of bedroom-mirror dancers, and Michael Jackson: The Experience largely failing to make good use of the PlayStation Move peripheral, there’s still a gap in the market for a decent dance game on PlayStation 3.
We’ve no idea, of course, whether Sony will create a fun game aimed at the casual gaming audience, but if it takes things seriously - like it has done with the singing component of its SingStar franchise - then there’s no reason why we too can’t have a dance game to be proud of on Sony’s console. We’d expect to hear more about Sony’s plans at E3 in a couple of weeks.

I wish Ubisoft would make "Just Dance" titles for the PS3. Its a great party game. The ladies love it so its fun to dance with them or watch them dance. :)
