Konami today announced that Cristiano Ronaldo will be the cover athlete, and face of all Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 packaging and marketing materials. The Portuguese Galactico midfielder for Real Madrid is the world's most expensive player, something Konami boasts with pride.
"Cristiano Ronaldo embodies everything we are trying to achieve with PES 2012," commented Jon Murphy, European PES Team Leader. "He is quick, skillful, with an eye for a pass, and devastating in attack. His movement and energy brighten any game, and we are delighted that he has agreed to work with us in the pivotal title in the PES series."
"I have long admired the PES series, but what KONAMI has achieved this year is remarkable," said Ronaldo. "Football is all about teams working together and making assists and runs that create attacking opportunities. KONAMI has recreated this perfectly, and PES 2012 is a brilliant simulation of a real match. If you know football, you are going to want to spend some time with this amazing game."
PES 2012 is set for release for the PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on September 27, with the PlayStation 2, PSP, and Wii versions dated for November 8.

Hopefully now Messi can grace the cover of FIFA. Was sick and tired of seeing him grace the cover of a second place game. And yeah, pretty much second best. And there is absolutely NO argument now. Messi just keeps showing and showing that he is the best. Ronaldo keeps on showing he isn't even second best now.
He's arguably top 5 now. Yes, he scores like a mad man. But he does so in a team that plays all for him. Messi had tons and tons of assists, and just a few goals less than Ronaldo. But the huge difference is that Messi plays for his team, and Ronaldo doesn't.
Ronaldo was walking around everytime he lost the ball to Dani yesterday. He usually does that. Quits when things don't go his way. Reminds me of Lebron.
