It has been today revealed that the PlayStation Vita and the PSP will be capable of communicating with each other, and even play with each other.

It's already known that the Vita can download and play PSP games, but what hasn't been clarified is if those games can be played cross-platform on PSP and Vita. Luckily, we now all know that our previously purchased PSP downloadable games can still be used in full functionality on the Vita.

I am really having a hard time remaining calm. I can't wait to get my hands on one. I've been saving money since I first heard mention of a NGP coming out and I've read every article printed about it. I've heard mostly good things about it and the bad things I've heard wont deter me from Sony's newest endevour. To say the least I am very excited. Now if 2/22/12 would just get here I might be able to finally relax. I would have say the Augmented Reality feature is one I'm most looking forward towards. I enjoyed the game Invisimals (PSP) a lot as it is based on AR and the PS VITA would seem to take that technology to the next level. Cross-Platform Gaming Compatability with PSP is another feature at the top of my check list. I currently own every version of the PSP to date. Actually I own everything Sony has ever put the PLATSTATION logo on and I avidly support Sony in whole. I think the PS VITA is likely to dominate the handheld market once it's released in the US and I can hardly wait.
