Frogger: Hyper Arcade Edition will be released on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and WiiWare in spring 2012, Konami has announced.

The retro run-n’-dodge outing features updated mechanics, plus classic and fresh game modes, among which include Tile Capture and Battle Royale. Gamers can team up against the AI or against up to four human opponents.

Hyper Arcade Edition also allows you to customise your experience with various skins. For starters, there’s a modern neon aesthetic and classic 8-bit look for Frogger, as well as skins based on Castlevania and Contra.

The game is being developed by Zombie Studios, who are perhaps best known for their work on the Blacklight franchise.
