Silicon Knights working on 'most requested IP' for next-gen

Silicon Knights boss Dennis Dyack has revealed the studio is working on its ‘most requested’ IP for next-generation platforms.

Quite what this IP is remains unknown, but a number of titles certainly fit the bill, including vamp-tastic adventure Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (PlayStation) and cult classic Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem (GameCube).

"We're really excited and we're working on our next generation stuff. We're working on an IP that's our most requested and we're really excited about that," Dyack told GI.biz

"We're going back to our roots. I'm really looking forward to a point in time when we can talk about it."

In recent years Silicon Knights has worked on Too Human and X-Men: Destiny, neither of which was a big hit with critics. In particular, Too Human proved a major disappointment after arriving in 2008 on the back of major hype following a lengthy development cycle.

Stay tuned for more info as we get it.

    Although ''Eternal Darkness'' was a great game, ''Legacy Of Kain series'' is one of my favourite. I hope for a sequel/prequel, no matter current or next-gen.

    -Tell them that Kain, is coming-

    @Novus

    There was another rumour recently about Crystal Dynamics being on a new Legacy Of Kain game! Although rumours aren't proof for anything, they are encouraging :))))))
