Journey soundtrack tops iTunes chart in over a dozen countries

It’s no surprise that Journey, having ranked so high in our review catalogue, is doing well. What is a surprise, however, is that the game’s soundtrack -- sold on digital markets like PlayStation Network and iTunes – has turned up to be a chart-topper.

Composed by Austin Wintory, the OST has reached the top ten charts in over twenty countries, including Japan, Canada and Spain, and even received the number one spot in eight nations.

Having been developed by thatgamecompany, Journey takes players on an emotional… journey throughout vast, isolated environments, with hardly anything more than a soundtrack to accompany them. So, of course the soundtrack had to be good, but this is nothing short of impressive.

You can purchase the album here.
