Konami today announced it will soon release patches for Silent Hill Downpour and Silent Hill HD Collection to correct frame rate and audio synch issues. Development teams are currently working on patches for both games—including auto-save issues in Downpour. We can expect a fix in the coming weeks.

The patches will be available for download via the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.Check out our review of Silent Hill Downpour and let us know if you have found any bugs in either games.

This is great news, I have both games but I have only started downpour and I can vouch saying the frame rate and voice lip syncing when someone is talking is off throughout the game. I haven't gone back to play the HD collection yet since I have already played two in the past on PS2 but I hope these patches come out before I start them so it will play as smooth as possible.

This is great, shame I literally just completed it last night. I love the game even though its not by the original team etc its real fun. The frame rate was terrible but I managed it, ill save my 2nd playthrough for the patch maybe.

I think the frame rate problems and the Silent Hill logo screen popping up in the most appropriate times really detract from what could have been a great game. Really no excuse to release a product with these glitches. Shame on you Konami, you've lost face with me for sure.  There was an auto download prior to starting game play, if that was the patch it didn't make my game play any better. the screen will freeze completely off and on for 2-3 seconds or go into super slow mo rate when running from 5-10 secondfs...really, really sucks on a system of the PS3 calibur. Guess I should have gotten it for my X-box 360 instead. Beware if your looking to buy a copy, wait til it's got a 20.00 price tag then it might be worth owning.  Does anyone know how to where or how to get the patch? Where do I download it fromif it wasn't in the auto download I mentioned the system did before starting the game play?
