PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale screens pack a punch

Sony has unveiled the first batch of screenshots for upcoming beat-‘em-up PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

Check out a teaser shot below, and then have a gander at our gallery to view the full bunch. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale sees iconic Sony characters like Kratos and Sweet Tooth battling it out in a furious brawler for up to four players. The game hits stores in Holiday 2012.

    think the grapihcal style is too cartoon-like, In other words looks like it's trying to mimick Nintendo's Smash Bro's. That aside, I love the idea. Sony probably has more iconic characters than Nintendo these days!

    I wouldnt say the art style is too cartoony, I think with characters like Kratos or Killzone characters you have room for grittiness, but the concept is way too similar to Brawl games of the past. Way too reminicant of Nintendo's game.

    My guess is it won't do well...I see an aggregation in the 70's for this. No higher. I know they wont be aiming to beat out smash bros.

     What are you guys talking about, "you can't beat them by imitateing them"? Sure you can, in fact, sony already did it, it's called the playstaion brand.
