The award-winning composers of Dead Space and Gears of War will play a key role in creating the original score for Resistance: Burning Skies, slated for release exclusively on the PS Vita. Jason Graves, a British Academy award-winning composer who was responsible for the music in Dead Space and Dead Space 2, wrote 40 minutes of orchestral music for Resistance: Burning Skies. In addition, Kevin Riepl, an award-winning film composer responsible for the signature score of Gears of War, also wrote 40 minutes of music for the upcoming first-person shooter on the PS Vita.
Resistance: Burning Skies is set in an alternate universe and stays true to the franchise with unique ‘50s Americana locations and plenty of never-before-seen Chimera. The game is set between Resistance 2 and Resistance 3. You’ll play as New York City firefighter Tom Riley as he experiences the first days of the Chimeran assault across the U.S. eastern seaboard.
The game is slated for release on May 29.
