Tecmo Koei has said it aims to sell one million copies of its upcoming beat-‘em-up Dead or Alive 5.
The brawler, which features crossover appearances by Virtua Fighter characters, is scheduled for a worldwide release in September 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It’ll also feature paid downloadable content.
Speaking of DLC, the company revealed that consumers were only too happy to shell out for post-launch pleasures, with Dynasty Warriors costumes raking in 250 million yen, while DLC for Warriors Orochi brought in 45 million yen.
Just for reference, recent Tecmo Koei offerings Ninja Gaiden III and Warriors Orochi 3 shipped 630,000 and 480,000 copies worldwide.
