Tekken Tag 2 U.S. pre-order bonuses detailed

Namco Bandai’s unveiled details on Tekken Tag Tournament 2’s U.S. pre-order bonuses ahead of the brawler’s release this September.

As with Europe, punters who plonk down their cash early will be able to nab some extra characters on day-one. The line-up includes Michelle Chang, Ancient Ogre, Kunimitsu and Angel.

Fighting fans who pre-order at Amazon.com and Best Buy will get their mitts on Michelle and Angel, while those of you who side with GameStop will bag yourself the above pair in addition to exclusive access to Ancient Ogre and Kunimitsu.

Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada commented: “Pleasing our fans is of paramount importance to the TEKKEN development team, therefore we are giving players full access to the wide array of fighters in TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 at no additional cost.”

“The roster of playable characters in any fighting game is an essential factor in contributing to a player’s overall experience. By offering DLC characters at no additional cost to players, we are able to deliver a pure TEKKEN experience to all of our fans.”

“NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. is working closely with retailers to secure exciting pre-order opportunities for TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 and deliver premium bonus character content to TEKKEN fans on launch day,” added Namco Bandai Games America’s Vice President of Marketing, Carlson Choi. “We’re excited to unveil our exclusive pre-order partners for these well-known TEKKEN characters and hope to reveal even more exciting content in the near future.”

Tekken Tag 2 hits U.S. stores on September 11, and arrives in Europe on September 14 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Players can look forward to a boatload of game modes including one-on-one, solo vs. tag-team battle as well as the new Pair Play feature, where four gamers can each control a combatant for the ultimate punch-up.
