Not content with offering its own unique interpretation of Batman, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter and Star Wars, LEGO announced today that it’s set to bring Middle Earth to life as you’ve never seen it before with LEGO Lord of the Rings.
Developed by TT games and due out this fall, the game is based on the epic fantasy film trilogy directed by Peter Jackson, and follows the events of The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King.
As such, LEGO Lord of the Rings offers a massive adventure packed full of iconic locations, including the Misty Mountains, Mines of Moria, the Black Gate and many more as gamers battle against Orcs, Uruk-hai, the Balrog and other creatures plucked from J.R.R. Tolkien’s mammoth tale.
Furthermore, all your favourite characters will be immortalized in miniature LEGO form, including Frodo Baggins, Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir and Aragorn. LEGO Lord of the Rings is scheduled to ship for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, DS and 3DS.
