Sony hasn’t ruled out the possibility of further trimming down the PlayStation 3 to something even more compact and affordable.
While nothing has been confirmed outright, Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Worldwide Studios, did let slip that the company is always looking at ways to tweak things.
"We haven't announced anything new on PS3 in terms of hardware revisions. We should never say never - hardware guys are always looking at ways to make things cheaper, smaller,” Yoshida-san told Eurogamer at E3 last week.
Still, the executive pointed out that Sony seem quite content with the current PS3 Slim: "I don't know if we are going to talk about anything like that. We are quite happy with the PS3,” he said.
Yoshida-san was similarly keeping mum on the subject of a potential PlayStation Move hardware revision.
“It's very difficult to answer your questions," Yoshida replied. "We are not talking about any hardware revisions. We are very happy with what we have with PS3, PS Move. If anything, we haven't been able to really fully make use of the potential of PS Move. We are still finding new ways to use PS Move on PS3, and we continue to search for applications."
PS3 Slim was first unveiled back at Gamescom 2009 following months of rumors on a new model. The revised hardware offers a console that’s 32 per cent smaller than the original version, 36 per cent lighter and consumes 34 per cent less power.

I don't like the slim that much as is, and I have 2 of them! I've rebuilt evey model, and the slim has the least impressive setup. Matter of fact, im going back to the fatty model for gaming, having too many corruption issues with the slims, and they also have cheap hardware, and it shows.
FATTY'S RULE! XD
