New Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed driver confirmed

NiGHTS’ eponymous purple-clad protagonist has joined the ever-expanding character roster for SEGA’s upcoming Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
Eurogamer reports that NiGHTS was confirmed in footage shown off at SEGA’s Summer of Sonic event.
Also lined up for the game are Golden Axe’s Gillus Thunderhead, Shinobi’s Joe Musashi and NASCAR’s Danica Patrick.
Just in case you missed last week’s news, NiGHTS will be released in high-definition for PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade and PC this fall. As well as improved visuals, it’ll also feature the chance to play the original Sega Saturn version in all its 32-bit glory.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is pencilled in for release on 3DS, PC, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in late 2012.
