Rockstar talks Red Dead Redemption sequel

Rockstar hasn’t forgotten about its hit western sandbox game. The company today posted an Asked & Answered session on its website, and said we could see a sequel to Red Dead Redemption “eventually.” For diehard fans of John Marston’s tale, that’s good news, but very thin news.

“Awesome, we love Red Dead too – and are thrilled that so many of you loved John Marston’s tale and are excited for more epic Western action,” Rockstar wrote.

The company today posted a pair of new screen shots for Gran Theft Auto V, and said it’s committed to that game at this time. But, franchises like Bully and L.A. Noire could also see sequels. Rockstar wrote, “we don’t always rush to make sequels but that does not mean that we won’t get to them eventually. Stay tuned for further announcements about the future of the Red Dead series.”

That last line seems to imply there is a future for Red Dead. Who knows what we’ll see. A prequel? More or a back story? A new set of characters? What would you like to see?

I hate Red Dead Redemption. It is so boring, one of three games that have been boring enough to bore me to sleep.

I really enjoyed Red Dead Redemption, but somehow it didn't resonate with me in quite the same way GTA IV did. I think there's something about the "period piece" nature of games like Red Dead and LA Noire that makes me prefer modern tales. Then again, I loved the heck out of Vice City and San Andreas, two games that I also believe are "period piece" tales.

@4 Or maybe he just disliked it. Red Dead Redemption's a singleplayer game, so 'lacking friends' is an insufficient insult. The multiplayer was terrible in my opinion. Stop insulting people for not liking a game that you did. I personally felt it didn't live up to expectations, and I find a lot of it quite boring myself. 7/10 at best.

Have it star Jack Marston and be set during the First World War in the Gallipoli Campaign.

FREE ROAM ZOMBIE AND ANIMAL HUNTING WITH FRIENDS....of course separate them from the each other but mainly build them on the backbone of the current or built in multiplayer! SIMPLE!
