PSU.com has received details on Sony’s line-up for Gamescom next month, confirming that the hardware giant will indeed showcase two previously unannounced games at the Cologne-based event.

According to the schedule, one of the games is from a “Japan Studio,” while the other is apparently a new “Move IP.”

Rumors circulated earlier this week that Sony would show at least two new games at the event, prompting widespread speculation that one of the titles could be Gran Turismo 6 after the game was allegedly outed by Nissan driver, Lucas Ordonez.

No further details are known at this point, but we’ll be sure to bring you all the latest details as they become available to us.

GT6 on PS3 would make it follow the typical strategy of 2 games per console, plus it'll make use of the big installed base of PS3 around.

PS4 will take some time to get people on it, that means the game sales will not be that big in the beginning.

GT5 sold more than 7.5 million units already, not counting the XL/SpecII versions and now there's the Academy Edition and they'll launch the "new slim" model which will boost the console sales a bit.

So, IMHO GT6 on PS3 will make them a big ammount of cash using the actual PS3 installed base.
