Capcom teases Dragon's Dogma 2 details

Hot on the heels of news that Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma has moved over one million copies worldwide, series creator Hideaki Itsuno has divulged some of the ideas he has for a potential follow-up.

As reported in the latest issue of Famitsu (via Andriasang), Itsuno-san confirmed he’s definitely interested in making a follow-up to the fantasy RPG, which was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in May.

According to the Capcom developer, only 60 – 70 per cent of his ideas actually made it into the original Dragon’s Dogma, with the game world around 2/3 of what he initially conceived. Shelved elements include the ability for players to create quests for themselves and pawns, as well as mount and grab hold of enemies.

Elsewhere, Itsuno-san expressed his desire to develop a fighting game. Apparently, he’d like to make a game where the player’s skills and experience in beat-‘em-ups won’t necessarily give them the advantage.
