Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be 'unbelievably amazing', says executive producer

Final Fantasy diehards are jonesing for any news about the oft-delayed Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Word on the game has surfaced via Final Fantasy executive producer Shinji Hashimoto. It's a small tidbit, but it's a good one.
Speaking about the game's progress at Ginza SWING!! in Tokyo, Hashimoto said that the game has evolved considerably from its 2010 trailer showing, and is "turning out to be unbelievably amazing." Hashimoto reassured those gathered that getting the game out is very important to his team right now.
We hope "evolved considerably" means the game is further along in development than we think, but after so many disappointing delays, it's probably best to stay (very) cautiously optimistic. In the meantime, keep it glued to PSU.com for all things Final Fantasy, including the fate of Versus XIII.

I would hope so, the game looked awesome back then and sounded even better from what the developers where saying and now years later it better be much better! Also after how "unbelievably amazing" FF13 looked when they first showed it off to how unbelievably amazingily crap it was because they changed it too much compared to the first trailer... Why couldn't they have just made it one character in a battle at one time? It would of played so much better, it would of actually turned out how they wanted it "FF7:AC looking battles" but it turned into "Look noticeable the animations are so repetitive, and push X"

So glad to hear this, I trust that it will blow me away. It's also good to hear that's it is indeed still in production! hearing anything that indicates that it's still on its way is a relief

I hope so, we can use a great Squeenix game b4 this gen ends. The portables have had great stuff like KH: BBS, hopefully this what we expected many years ago.

since nothing is said anymore about exclusivity, the time delay is because they had to develop the game for the X360 and possibly XBOXone, so, same as for FFXIII it'l be a game to satisfy the XBOX fans : not too much decison making and story easy to understand, with fast and not deep gameplay
