Agent 47 voice actor David Bateson will step into the shoes of the bald assassin once more in the forthcoming Hitman: Absolution, Square Enix has announced.
Bateman should be instantly recognisable to fans of the stealth-based shoot-em-up series, having voiced Agent 47 since the franchise’s inception in 2000.
However, those of you who have been keeping tabs on Absolution’s development progress will probably recall that there was a point when Bateman’s involvement in the project was ups in the air.
Despite this, Jon Brooke, brand director for the Hitman series, confirmed today that “IO and Bateson have been bed fellows for over a decade and like all long running relationships sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder. Looking back I think we were just playing hard to get.”
Elsewhere, it was also announced that motion capture work for Agent 47 was conducted by Lost star William Mapother.
Hitman: Absolution will be sneaking into shops in November 2012.
