Speaking at the PAX Prime 2012 keynote address, Insomniac president Ted Price revealed a screenshot from an unannounced intellectual property. According to Game Informer, this intellectual property is the game once known as Overstrike - except now, the game is called Fuse.

Apparently, Overstrike has undergone a complete overhaul, and more details are expected to be revealed when this countdown clock hits zero. For now, take a look at the game's first screenshot below, and let us know in the comments if you're excited for Insomniac's next big thing.

Well I was excited after the first trailer came out... now you tell me there's been some change to the game... unless the change makes the game MORE like the trailer I'm a little worried considering both E3 and Gamescom came and went and we havent heard any news till now and then we hear that it's undergone an overhaul... that rarely makes a person more exciteted... "OOOH CHANGE! YIPPEE!"

I just feel like Insomniac is being asked to sacrifice too much of their gaming identity. I know they probably got sick of Sony asking for Ratchet and Resistance games but Sony usually is pretty good about supporting new ips especially with a PS4 launch coming next year. Sometimes you find out the grass isn't greener on the otherside. If they water down their vision this is going to be a forgetable game and Insomniac may be one of those developers that slowly fade away.

Not gonna lie - that screenshot looks a LOT like Killzone.

Kind of reminds me of Vanquish's first big robot, but no where near the scale Vanquish was on. Honestly, kind of looks generic. I hope I'm wrong though, because I was really looking forward to this one.

Well it looks alot better than overstrike. I did not think overstrike was going to work. This looks alot like  killzone. I still love resistance and wish they would continue with the story. I mean up to now with resistance 3 the story is very bleak. I wish they would have the story change to how humans come back against the chrimera. They could rehash old maps like killzone 3 does.

I'm not understanding these comparisons to Killzone. How about noting the similarities to the thumbnail of the next article instead! I find that coincidence much more amusing!
