Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is due out in mid-September, and already the reception from critics is looking pretty positive, with Japan’s Famitsu magazine awarding it an impressive 39/40.
For those who don’t know, Famitsu has four reviewers each scoring a title out of 10, with Namco’s brawler receiving 10, 9, 10, 10 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
All in all, a positive start for Namco. PSU.com will have its own review of Tekken Tag 2 as we approach its September 14 release date in Europe.
Tekken Tag 2 features the most extensive line-up in the series’ history, with the console version featuring over 50 characters including a number of combatants who haven’t been seen since the first Tekken Tag, such as Jun, Ogre and Kunimitsu.
