A select few individuals are enjoying the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale private beta right now, but soon a whole lot more folks will get to join the fun.
While discussing the game at PAX Prime 2012, SuperBot Entertainment lead game designer Omar Kendall discussed both the private beta and forthcoming public beta at length. More characters and maps are being considered for addition to the private experience, but SuperBot is looking forward to the public beta in hopes that all territories will be able to experience it simultaneously.
Furthermore, Kendall hopes to add tutorials to the public beta, along with Cross-Play functionality and characters including Big Daddy, Heihachi, Toro, Good Cole MacGrath, and Jak & Daxter.

@1 It seems that SuperBot is aiming to release the public beta on both PS3 and Vita, to allow players to test Cross-Play before the game comes out.
