The president of Gearbox Software has said that a PlayStation Vita version of Borderlands 2 is entirely possible – even if his studio won't be the ones to develop a handhed version of the game.
Speaking with IGN, Randy Pitchford said that the project has a chance of getting off the ground providing the right developer can be found, and reckons Sony should back the idea to make it happen.
“If some other studio was capable and could be trusted by us, and by a publishing partner, and by Sony, and someone wanted to invest in making that happen? I think Sony should step up and make that happen,” he said.
Pitchford went on to talk about the possible functions between the PS3 and PS Vita versions of Borderlands 2, such as cloud saving, and said he’s going to meet with Sony again soon.
Borderlands 2 is due out on PS3, PC and Xbox 360 in the U.S. on September 18 and hits the U.K. on September 21.
Stay tuned for more details.

BL2 + some fun Vita layout, maybe driving with moving the Vita like in Wipeout, using the rear touch pad to aim grenades ... doesn't seem it'll be soon anyway
