Next month, you'll be able to play a high-def remaster of the original Killzone on PS3. Regardless of whether you pick it up as a standalone PSN title or as part of the Killzone Trilogy collection, the game will look great. For proof look no further than the first screenshots below, courtesy of the official PlayStation Blog.

After you've had a gander, let us know what you think in the comments below. Are you excited to experience the original Killzone in HD? Will it be your first time playing the game?

I would love to play it if they have worked on the controls also.  That is what kept me from getting very far when I tried to play it.

I'm usually very bad at FPS, but I enjoyed playing Killzone 1 (tried demo of 2 and barely managed to kill one guy, get into cover and died fast) I remember a nice level on rainy docks where you send the Helghast guy as he can get past the defenses and he opens way for the others. The reason why I couldn't finish it that an IA opponent hidden behind a rock 700 feet away will always hit you with a grenade and you will get the full blast and die, that totally ruined the good atmosphere as in reality grenades bounce randomly and are not really efficient and are more used to scare and disorient than straight out kill.

If the price is reasonable and I'm not into something else I'd be interested to play it (I had so many difficulties with the grenade launching guys I'm pretty sure I still know their position).
