The LittleBigPlanet motto of “Play.Create.Share” has never been more apt as the release of patch v1.17 for LittleBigPlanet 2 now adds cross-buy compatibility between three games.
Any item purchased from the LBP store can be transferred and used in LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet Vita and LittleBigPlanet Karting for no extra charge. If you’ve already bought content prior to the patch, you’ll also be able to access that content in all three games.
LBP Vita launches on Friday but not all items from LBP2 will be available on the handheld from the outset. Though Sony has promised that “a ton” of costumes can be downloaded, it plans to roll out more content over the coming weeks.
LittleBigPlanet Vita launches on Friday in retail outlets and via digital download from the PlayStation Store. Check out our LBP Vita review to find out why we describe this latest Sackboy adventure as “the best LittleBigPlanet yet.”
LBP Karting is due for release in November on PS3.
