Capcom has confirmed that a major expansion for Dragon’s Dogma will be released in 2013.
Entitled Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, there’s some confusion as to whether it will be a sequel or an expansion of the original. Few details have been released about the game other than Capcom describing it as a “major expansion to the Dragon’s Dogma universe”.
In the meantime, fans of Dragon’s Dogma can look forward to some free DLC over the coming months. Two new game modes will be made available, including Speedrun which will task players with completing the game as quick as possible. Players will receive in-game equipment for completing specific times. In Hard Mode, enemies will be tougher to beat and players will be rewarded with further equipment.
Capcom has yet to set a release date for the DLC.
