Borderlands 2 nabs biggest U.K. launch of 2012 so far

Borderlands 2 has become the U.K.'s biggest-selling videogame launch of 2012 so far, eclipsing Mass Effect 3's record.
Released in Blighty last Friday, the Gearbox-developed sequel topped Mass Effect 3’s record by over 4,000 copies. Furthermore, it also bested its predecessor’s effort by 4 to 1, which reached no.7 back in 2009.
In terms of platforms, the Xbox 360 took the lion’s share of Borderlands 2 sales, accounting for a massive 71 per cent of all sales. PlayStation 3 managed 22 per cent, and the PC version seven per cent (note the latter does not include digital sales).

I'm not surprised! This game deserves it, even with the crazy texture pop in! So loving this game at the moment, haven't touched anything else...Not even Dust!!! :O hehe

I'm not a FPS gamer, I play mostly PRG, adventure and sports games, I enjoyed Borderlands (and Bioshock) as they don't put you against hordes of opponents that aim at your head each time, and your shield lets you know when to hide to have it regenerate.
Borderlands 2 is unforgiving. At level 5 I had already died over 15 times, the fight against Boom Boom is extremely hard with first Bewm Bewm and the turret and 2 sadists distracting you and 2 new ones coming back soon after the frst are dead. Maybe after 10 tries I'd have killed the 2 bosses, but this is not fun for me.

I can understand your frustration. I play as the siren though, phaselock made short work of those bosses. had to get rid of the other minions first though, I also died a few times. You just have to do side quests o make sure your level is high enough.
I can't wait for playthrough 2 and 2.5! LOVE Borderlands and will be playing for a long time untill I have the best of all my fav guns.

I played with Maya but in the heat of battle I didn't even use the power on the turret or much at all anyway, the sadists always jumping on me and distracting me from the bosses or hitting me when I aimed at the bosses were just killing my concentration and tactics
