Square Enix has hinted that Kingdom Hearts 2 may yet receive a high-definition makeover like its predecessor.
Speaking during an interview with Famitsu, Square’s Tetsuya Nomura was quizzed, “Is there gonna be a high-definition version of Kingdom Hearts II later?”
In response, the Final Fantasy series character designer stated, “It’d be unusual if there wasn’t,” before giving a cheeky smile.
The comments come following the announcement of the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMix bundle, which includes the original Disney/Square RPG alongside Chain of Memories but curiously omits the PlayStation 2 sequel.

I would be happy about this news if square would release these in North America.

Why sell 1 game when you can sell 2 for twice the price.
At least they're making it. A "Destroyed Sephiroth" trophy appeals to me more than it should.

It'd be dumb not to release 2 in HD. The sales for the first HD collection will reinforce that.
