Rising Star Games has revealed that Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut will be released exclusively for PlayStation 3 in Q1 2013.
Originally released on Xbox 360 and PS3 a few years back, the Director’s Cut version will feature a host of new content and updated controls, plus high-definition visuals.
Specifically, this rejigged version will incorporate a brand new scenario created by designer Hidetaka Suehiro, along with downloadable content and new controls that facilitate “an even better combat experience.”
Deadly Premonition divided critics upon release and is noted as one of the most polarizing titles in the horror genre. Set in an open-world, the game combines non-linear gameplay with elements of psychological horror, and revolves around the player – FBI Special Agent Francis York Morgan – investigating the town of Greenvale to unravel the mystery behind the murder of a young woman.
