The Walking Dead game currently being developed by Terminal Reality and published by Activision has been given a new title.
The Walking Dead: Survival Instincts, as it's now known, is a cooperative first person shooter that features the Dixon brothers Merle and Daryl. The game takes place in Georgia's countryside and follows the brother's journey up until they come in contact with the survivors in Atlanta.
Unlike Tell Tale's recent episodic The Walking Dead game, Survival Instincts will be based on the television series and not the comic book. Daryl and Merle will encounter NPCs who will either hinder or help their progress in surviving against the walkers.
The Walking Dead: Survival Instincts is scheduled for release in 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Ugh... I had no idea that this game was focusing on Merle and Daryl until reading this article. Daryl's a fine choice for a first-person shooter, but Merle is worth approximately nothing in the running chronology of the show (plus, he's a racist a**hole). Not excited by the narrative focus of this one.
