Skyrim DLC for PS3 is 'close', says Bethesda

The trials and tribulations for gamers who remain loyal to the PlayStation 3 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim are well-documented. Persistent framerate issues, nasty bugs galore, and the systematic failure of developer Bethesda Game Studios to bring the first two expansions, Dawnguard and Hearthfire, to Sony's console have made the PS3 port something of an industry laughing-stock. Vague progress updates have made the situation seem all but hopeless, but now it seems that PS3 players may yet receive Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and other DLC after all.
This statement is bold, but backed by a tweet from Bethesda Game Studios earlier this evening. "To update: we’re also close on new Skyrim content for PS3 and PC," said the studio. It's certainly not much to go on, but 'close' is better than 'This is not a problem we're confident we can solve', a quote that distressed the PlayStation Nation back in August.

I might very well have stuck with it & bought the delayed DLC, had the last update not made Alduin invulnerable to all attacks. I've already restarted the game once already after a bug made progress impossible (when it was close to completion). I certainly have no intention of restarting again & to oblivion with the DLC.
Great game (more akin to what I expected from Elderscrolls), but just too little too late for PS3 fixes & DLC for this consumer.

Its sad really months upon months have went by and still this answer is no different from any other site. I will enjoy seeing the dlc patch for ps3 but until I do its just a game I spent 60 bux on and will end up dropping probably another 40 if the dlc comes out. Here's my opinion if the game is out on multiple platforms then work on the dlc for every1 and don't show some1 favoritism because they offer u more money. You'll lose in the end because you make it but we the consumers buy it so if ya can't do something like this become a 1 platform company so in the future u get further with your games then dealing with angry consumers. It is no ones fault but your own. Vigil gives ot a few free dlc for darksiders 2 maybe u should give ps3 1 free dlc and not a cheap 1 an expensive 1

I lost interest long ago, they can keep it. Skyrim itself has enough problems.

I'm currently playing Skyrim on PC. The game is amazing with all the additions and tweaks I've made to it through mods. One of the best games I have ever played, and surely the biggest.
