Fresh rumors pointing to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 as the next entry in the multi-million dollar selling FPS series has surfaced via Siliconera.
According to the website, an anonymous source has revealed that voice recording for the military shooter sequel has already started in Los Angeles. We can also expect a continuation of the Modern Warfare story despite it seemingly wrapping up in the last game.
Modern Warfare 4 will allegedly a chap codenamed Ben Burke, described as a ‘battle-hardened veteran in his mid-thirties with a nihilistic point of view.” Fan favourite John ‘Soap’ MacTavish will also feature in a flashback.
It’s worth pointing out that while nothing official has been confirmed, the same source previously provided Siliconera with info on Sleeping Dogs, which turned out to be the real deal.
We know a new Call of Duty title will be released next year; that much is a given, since it’s an annual franchise alternating between Infinity Ward and Treyarch. However, publishing Activision has yet to reveal what we can expect from 2013’s instalment.
This year’s offering comes in the shape of Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Check out our review here.
