Call of Duty: Black Ops II flogged one million units at U.S. retail giant GameStop for its midnight launch events earlier this week.
Speaking to Bloomberg, GameStop big cheese Tony Bartel revealed that the Activision military shooter is on track to break records for the company.
Said Bartel: “Black Ops II is shaping up to be our biggest game launch of all time. GameStop sold more than 1 million units worldwide during our midnight launch period.”
Day-one sales have yet to be divulged, though it is estimated the FPS moved a whopping 6.5 million units in North America, and notched up a further 7.2 million in the U.K.
The question is though, is Black Ops II ultimately worth your time? Providing you were not one of the millions of gamers who have already flocked to the Treyarch-developed shooter, it’s probably worth checking out our review.
