Ubisoft has confirmed that it is preparing a patch for Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation to fix a bug affecting the game’s save files.

Users have been reporting issues with the PlayStation Vita-exclusive historical adventure title since launch, though up until now Ubisoft wouldn’t commit to an update on the matter.

Sadly the French publisher didn’t say when we could expect the patch, though we’ll keep you posted on the matter.

Speaking to Joystiq, the firm said "our team is in the process of finalising the first patch for Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation."

"This will address the save game corruption issue. We'll have a better idea on the timing of the patch soon."

Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation sees female assassin Aveline stalking and stabbing her way through New Orleans during the 18th century. PSU.com was quite impressed with the game, as you can see from our review here.

Luckily this hasn't happened to me... yet. But it has to a friend. I might stop playing until this patch comes out.
