Dead Island: Riptide will receive a special Rigor Mortis Edition in North America, publisher Deep Silver has announced.

Due out alongside the standard version of the upcoming zombie sequel, the Rigor Mortis Edition includes alternate box art, digital strategy map, in-game unlockable content, zombie hula girl bobble figurine, severed hand bottle opener/fridge magnet and bungalow key.

All this will be packaged in a travel suitcase-style box. No word yet on whether Europe can expect something similar, though we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Dead Island: Riptide is due out in the U.S. on April 23, 2013 and arrives in Europe on April 26. The game is billed as a spin-off to the original zombie-filled adventure, and picks up where its predecessor left off as the four survivors battle the undead on the island of Palanai.

Preordered at gamestop and got a free upgrade to some special edition, that has:
Alternate character skin, Pack of weapon mods, and a digital strategy map

Dead Island Riptide Rigor Mortis Edition has:
Alternate Box art, Digital Strategy map, In-Game Unlockable Content, Travel Suitcase Packaging, Zombie Hula Girl Bobble Figurine, Severed Hand Bottle Opener/Fridge Magnet,Bungalow Key with Wooden Tag

Assuming all the digital crap is the same in both, I think Ill keep my original preorder instead of paying an extra $30.
