Sony and Chevrolet have today announced that the latest version of the iconic Corvette will be available to drive in Gran Turismo 5.

Following on from the release of the prototype test car which was introduced into GT5 last year, this new model will be available tomorrow for free. The motor comes as part of a new partnership between Chevrolet and GT5 developer, Polyphony Digital. Check it out in action below.

Interestingly, as pointed out by NeoGAF user Wax Free Vanilla, there looks to be a new track heading to GT5 too, named Willow Springs. As you can see, the chicane shown on the magazine and the picture taken from the trailer show the same chicane at different angles. It will be interesting to see how long before we get an official announcement.

Lets see, the front of it looks similar to the new Viper, and the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. The rear looks similar to the 2010 Camero SS, and its nearly 200hp lower than the super charged ZR1(C6) Hopefully chevy will come out with a blown V8 ver. Looks like Chevy worked hard on this one =/. On a positive note, it gets better gas mileage, and its free! -_- Chevy = Crap! =)

    You're wrong!

    1. If you liked the C6 then you would realize that corvettes have a mouth, though the C6's is straight and the C7's is now downed at the ends, and vipers have them flared up. Both cars have recieved mouths about the same time and if they don't recognize it as the same, niether should you.

    2. I honestly don't have the time or patience to tell you that a CAMARO's rear end is not the same. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LOOK AT EACH AND SEE IT! And if thats still your argument that it looks sh@##% after that if you like the old stingray, its taken straight from the '69 CAMARO

    3. Of course its weaker, ITS THE BASE MODEL. The C6 BAse model bhp is 400 even where the C7's base is 450 and will have the Z51 package to overtake the ZR1

Looks like you just know about cars huh?

Positive note: I don't know you in person

WELCOME...... to the new generation! (^_^ )

Just got the C7 on GT5, and its totally worthless. Its the same as the prototype. You can't even paint the damn thing, no wonder it was free. It will never see the light of day on the track....... Deleting. (again) =(
