Tomb Raider will not receive a demo prior to the game’s launch on March 5, developer Crystal Dynamics has announced.

Writing on Twitter, the firm’s brand director, Karl Stewart, said “there are no plans to release a demo of the game pre-launch. We don’t want to spoil the story.”

He added that “we’ve weaved such a personal story we don’t believe spoiling it by having you wait a week or so to play on, delivers on our promise.”

Tomb Raider is a reboot of the classic action-adventure series starring heroine Lara Croft. In this latest title, players assume control of a younger, inexperienced Croft as she finds herself stranded on a mysterious Island full of hostiles.
