Sony announced it will release the God of War: Ascension Legacy bundle. It includes a 500GB Garnet Red PlayStation 3, a copy of God of War: Ascension, God of War Saga (which includes all six games), and a 30-day trial of PlayStation Plus. It'll set you back $349.

In the God of War: Ascension single-player campaign one of the many creatures you will face is the bone chilling Manticore. A flying beast with a Scorpions back and tail, a bird's wings, a shark's jaw and spikes. Take a look behind the scenes as the team begins their inception from the idea to the final product.

The Manticore is second to only Poseidon as one of the most technically challenging characters to animate due to the depth of detail and the addition of wings. Kratos will encounter the beast numerous times until their showdown on top of a pillar set against a backdrop of snowy mountains. Don't be fooled: the creature can strike deadly blows from afar. By flapping his wings he can send Kratos flying right towards the edge of the pillar.

God of War: Ascension is out March 12 for PlayStation 3.
