MGS4's Sunny confirmed as a returning character in Metal Gear Rising

There's been speculation as to which characters from the Metal Gear Solid franchise would appear in PlatinumGames' upcoming Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, but the latest issue of Japanese games magazine Famitsu has revealed that Metal Gear Solid 4's Sunny will be among them.
In series lore, Sunny is the cute, shy daughter of the late Olga Gurlukovich. During Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Sunny was being raised by Otacon on the Nomad aircraft. As a computer programming prodigy, she helped Otacon and Solid Snake in their struggle against Liquid Ocelot and the Patriots. She also cooked the most realistic-looking eggs ever seen in a video game.
As you can see in the scan below, Sunny has certainly grown up in the four years between Metal Gear Solid 4 and Metal Gear Rising. Her outfit suggests she may have moved on from programming to mechanical work. Sunny also has a flower pin in her hair, a look foreshadowed by the flower placed in her by Naomi Hunter during Metal Gear Solid 4. Note the patch she's rocking on her pants - the logo of Philanthropy, the organization founded by Otacon and Solid Snake. Will we possibly see one or both of them at some point during the game?

amazingly im avoiding this game, its just not for me i played the demo look alright but names were stupid, slashing everything gets boring to me. just not liking i see why kojima passed this along to platnum games.

Love the gameplay in this game. Platinum has made another fantastic hack and slash game. Also I'm glad to see more characters from MGS4. I was hoping that Sunny would now be sort of like how Otacon was for Snake. I love her new look.
Hopefully we'll hear more about Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes or MGS5 or what ever Kojima has next at E3 or sooner.
