The head of Sony Worldwide Studios has confirmed that PlayStation 4 will not block used titles.

Rumors have persisted over the past few months that the new platform would incorporate a block on used videogames, though up until now nothing official was said on the matter.

However, speaking to Eurogamer, Shuhei Yoshida said: “Used games can play on PS4.”

“That’s the general expectation by consumers. They purchase physical form, they want to use it everywhere, right? So that’s my expectation,” he said.

Sony unveiled PS4 last night at the PlayStation Meeting, confirming a holiday 2013 release date for its next-generation home console.

Would be better not blocking used games, but block GameStop.. it would make more sense.

That sold it for me...I would be pissed to get stuck with crap games for full price, and then can't sell them.

I've bought maybe 5 brand new games out of the 44 I own. To me, it seems silly to break your bank just to keep up with the joneses. I realize games like CoD are made just for that purpose, but it's nice to have a collection that cost $400-500 as opposed to $2400-2600. They work just as well as new ones.
