Sony has confirmed that it has no intention of cutting the price of PlayStation Vita in the U.S. just yet.
Quizzed by Joystiq if the high-powered handheld would be getting a price drop, head of Sony Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, replied: “No, it’s not.”
The comments come following the electronic giant’s decision to slash the price of PS Vita in Japan.
Presumably Yoshida’s comments also rules out a PS Vita price cut in Europe, although we’ll have to wait and see.
Sony announced yesterday during the PlayStation Meeting that it will release PlayStation 4 in holiday 2013. The console will share a strong relationship with PS Vita, with remote play being a major focus for Sony going forward.

Would not be surprised if they wait and see what the Nvidia Shield is sold for before they react.
