Ubisoft is planning on bringing Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag to next-generation platforms.
That’s according to a brief info snippet on the game’s official website, which has since been removed. However, Gematsu took a quick snapshot before it was taken down.
The official site claims the game is ‘also coming to next-gen systems,’ and listed a release date of October 29. This likely pertains to current-gen systems though, as PS4 (and indeed, Xbox 720) aren’t expected until at least November.
While Ubisoft confirmed earlier this week that ACIV will be coming out this year, it only mentioned the game would release on PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox 360 and Wii U. No mention of new formats was given at the time.
Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag takes place in the early 1700s, and stars Edward Kenway, the grandfather of Connor from ACIII. The sequel will be set in the Caribbean, and takes on a pirate theme. More info is expected on Monday.

@Digilator
I KNEW when I scrolled down to the comments I would see THIS kind of idiotic comment!! Do me a fovor and SHUT UP!!! It's obvious common knowledge that there are multiple consoles in the gaming industry! If they only mentioned PS3 then people like you would then ask if it were also going to other consoles because you are ill-informed, close-minded, and biased

@2 Digilator is an azz. I thought from reading his earlier comments that he was at least a bit smarter than he appears to be lately but now I am almost sure this guy is only like 15 or 16 or something.
More on topic...it seems like yet another Assassin's Creed, and no Feudal Japan ninja.
Jesus Christ.
