'PS4 beta tests' are frauds - Sony issues warning against early offers of game testing

Sony has issued a warning via its Twitter account for people to watch out for anyone who offers them the chance to be involved in a PS4 beta test.

The official PlayStation twitter account reads writes: “Important: Sites or individuals offering "PS4 beta tests" are frauds. Don't be fooled! Follow @PlayStation for official news on PS4”.

We’re not entirely sure what the PlayStation team are referring to, but it suggests that unscrupulous individuals are targeting gamers with the promise that they can beta test brand new titles for PlayStation 4. But for what gain, we do not know?

You've been warned.

"We’re not entirely sure what the PlayStation team are referring to"

There's a thing doing the rounds on Facebook suggesting that if you apply to beta test PS4, you may be selected at random to get an early console, which you can then keep.

I didn't think people would be that gullible/stupid, but it had thousands of responses.

As long if it's only for likes ther is no harm done. But the person behind the page proves once again that people would like anything and be tricked with out any problem.
