With all the talk surrounding PlayStation 4's ease of development, game prices, and social features, it's easy to forget just how beautiful the graphics of Sony's next home console will be. And we've received more than a glimpse of just that: an array of confirmed games brings with it luscious, tantalizing screenshots designed to whet our appetites and prove what PS4 is capable of.

Screenshots have lost their "wowing" power because we've been seeing these same quality screenshots over the last decade. Difference being, of course, is that these screenshots are actual screenshots and not some concept that dishonest developers would've tried to pass off as the real thing 10 years ago.

@1 A bit severe but I mostly agree. I dont find any of these impressive from a strictly gaming perspective. Alot of these are just a bunch of trailer stills that most likely DO NOT represent what the final products of these games will look like. Im rather sick and tired of seeing the same old artsy fartsty screenshots and then when I play the actual games, its no where CLOSE.
Don't believe it? Come back here in one year when you're hopefully playing these games on your tv, pause the game and compare what's on your tv screen to whats on your computer screen. Im mostly looking at InFamous Second Son, Killzone Shadowfall, and Deep Down as offenders here, Killzone the only one im willing to believe has the potential to actually look like what they're showing here. -

Some of these are actual gameplay pics, and some are tech demo footage. the Killzone pics are from gameplay. I have seen 3 different videos of Guerrilla playing through the footage that was shown on Feb 20th, doing some things a little different each time. The same with Watch Dogs, it was gameplay footage from the PS4s hardware. Thats what the games will pretty much look like guys, this isn't the PS3 again you know. =)

I agree with all the concern that many of these are just cutscene stills, though the ones that are gameplay screens do look fantastic. @7 I'd agree that inFamous and Deep Down are the main offenders here, but I'm almost certain Killzone is actually gameplay as opposed to just an impressive cutscene. Killzone looks set to be the one that won't disappoint, and of these games, is the one I have the most faith in to deliver visually. The inFamous screens almost definitely aren't gameplay images - if they are, I'm truly amazed.
