Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 ships 1 million

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 has shipped one million copies globally, publisher City Interactive has announced.
The stealth-based shooter is due out in U.K. stores tomorrow, and has been victim of many delays, having originally been pencilled for release in August 2012. The game launched in the U.S. on Tuesday.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will launch on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.
City Interactive also confirmed that a free multiplayer DLC pack is being prepped for release in the coming weeks, which features two new maps: Tower Defense and Temple Crossing. New game modes will also be included in the content drop.
Marek Tyminski, CEO of City Interactive, commented: “From the suspenseful tactical sniper experience and multitude of real world locations, to the incredible visuals, advanced AI and intelligent physics using Crytek’s state-of-the-art, CryENGINE 3, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is a game built for the modern military video game enthusiasts.”
“Free multiplayer DLC containing two new maps and an exciting additional game mode is just the first step in our plan to support the Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 experience for our fans after launch. We will also soon release a dedicated update to the PC version of the game that will allow gamers to enjoy all the advantages of DirectX 11.”

I bought it. HUGE improvement over part 1. Beautiful graphics and responsive/tight controls. The Cry Engine 3 wins with me. It's a true sniper game though so expect to be patient and still. Everyone camps, and that's just how it goes.
The mics work well, but the party system is lacking. You can only play private games from a party. The other glaring disappointment is the fact that there are only 2 online maps on launch. Everyone on the mics is rightfully griping about that, but I did hear that if you beat the SP, you unlock more MP maps. Not sure if rumor or fact.
If you like COD sniping levels and sniping in general, this game is worth your $39. Yes, it's only $39 brand new. I give it a solid 8.5/10.
