Warren Spector’s Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two will be released on PlayStation Vita later this year, Disney has announced.

The PS Vita release of the cartoon platform title was confirmed via a brief post on Twitter; no further information is available at this time, however.

Epic Mickey 2 was poorly received upon its release on home consoles late last year, and only managed to flog 529,000 units in the U.S. by the end of 2012. In comparison, its predecessor – a Nintendo Wii exclusive – moved 1.3 million in the same time frame back in 2010.

Unfortunately, the game’s commercial failure resulted in the shuttering of developer Junction Point Studios in January 2013.

Stay tuned.
