Telltale’s The Walking Dead confirmed for PS Vita

In an exclusive interview with PlayStation exec Don Mesa, IGN has learned that Telltale Games’ critically lauded The Walking Dead series will come to PlayStation Vita.

The news broke moments ago, and inspires confidence in Sony’s cultivation of indie talent. "Having [a studio] like Telltale, a very successful indie developer, coming in to support us sends a strong message," said Mesa. ". . . a good example is with The Walking Dead. We think that the emotion and the immersive experiences you’re going to get there, wherever you’re sitting . . . I think that’s going to be important. That’s what we want to deliver as you’re playing."

No word yet on a release date, or if The Walking Dead’s upcoming Season 2 will also be ported to PS Vita. Of course, there’s just as much a chance that Season 2 will launch on PlayStation 4, which means you’ll definitely be able to play it on PS Vita.
