Report: BioShock: Infinite DLC to feature new companion

According to the LinkedIn profile for a 2K senior artist, BioShock: Infinite’s upcoming story-based DLC will feature a new partner character.

The profile, which was unearthed by the chaps at Superannuation, claims that the employee has been “providing animation and R&D for a new AI companion character” for the critically-acclaimed FPS. Unsurprisingly, the listing has since been removed.

Of course, Infinite’s main trump card was the brilliant AI sidekick Elizabeth, who accompanied main character Booker DeWitt throughout Columbia, providing players with healing items, ammunition and generally providing some compelling commentary along the way.

So, just who are we likely to get for the DLC? That remains to be seen at present, although we’re sure many of you have your preferences based on several in-game characters.

Developer Irrational Games has kept mum on any details regarding the new missions, though we know it won’t resurrect any cut content from the main game. So, don’t expect the likes of Saltonstall to show his face, for example.
