Electronic Arts has posted a video on its official YouTube page letting people know that a surprise is coming to E3 courtesy of its DICE studio.
DICE Vice President, Karl-Magnus Troedsson says:
“E3 is less than a week away, and we’re hard at work with all the awesome games that we have to show you. Our excellent dev team is hard at work with Battlefield 4, of course, but we also have a couple of surprises up our sleeve.”
What could they be? Well, there have been recent rumors that Mirror’s Edge 2 might get announced. The EA support page had a page for Mirror’s Edge 2, and multiple Amazon outlets listed the game before taking it down.
It could however also mean that the new Star Wars game may be being developed at DICE. EA has the exclusive rights to make Star Wars games and has confirmed that multiple developers, including DICE, are already working on Star Wars titles. It also confirmed it will talk more about the Star Wars partnership during the press conference.
