DualShock 4 for PS4 far superior than PS3 and Xbox 360 controller, says Battlefield 4 developer

Alan Kertz, Lead Core Gameplay Designer for Battlefield 4 believes that the DualShock 4 controller for PlayStation 4 is far superior that the current DualShock and the Xbox 360 controller.

Referring to the DualShock 4 as his “preference for Gen 4”, Kertz used Twitter to compare it to the Xbox 360 controller after being drawn into a debate by a curious Tweeter.

“It's better shape, size, features, texture, triggers, sticks. Everything,” wrote Kertz.

The BF4 developer also eloquently explained how the latest DualShock controller has changed for the better.

“The PS3 DS3 had shit triggers. After PS4 people will say "why the fuck did we use R1 and L1?" wrote Kertz.

This is a big seal of approval from such a respected developer and it sounds like Sony may have learned some crucial design lessons from mistakes made with the DualShock 3.

The PS4 is set to launch later this year and will come bundled with a DualShock 4 controller.
